2. SystemInternalsSuite – The Sysinternals Troubleshooting Utilities have been rolled up into a single Suite of tools. This file contains the individual troubleshooting tools and help files. It does not contain non-troubleshooting tools like the BSOD Screen Saver.:

4. HWInfo – Hwinfo is a great piece of software which helps you dignose, montoring and reporting how your PC is doing.

5. Slimdrivers – Slimdrivers is an easy to use utilities that helps youkeep your drivers up to date.

6. Malwarebytes Free – Malwarebytes free is avery powerfull ondemand malware scanner/ remover.

7. Recuva – Recuva is a great program which helps you helps you try to recover deleted files.

8. CCleaner – “CCleaner is the number-one tool for cleaning your PC. It protects your privacy and makes your computer faster and more secure”

10. Notepadd ++ – “Notepad++ is a free (as in “free speech” and also as in “free beer”) source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL License.”

12. IrfanView – IrfanView is a great picture viewer , which supports many diferent file formats.

13. VLC – The Swiss armey knife for playing any non copyright video files. This is a must for any Windows PC.

14. DBAN – DBAN also know as Darren’s boot and nuke is a great piece of software that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers. DBAN is appropriate for bulk or emergency data destruction. This program is very usefull when getting rid of your PC.

15. Ninite – Nite is more of a website that allows you to install a bunch of software with one installer. After using the installer to your free software you can use it to update the software it installed

1. Dxdiag – This built in utility allows you to collect info about devices to help troubleshoot problems with DirectX sound and video. A support person might ask for this info, or you might post it in a forum when you ask for help.

2. Windows Defender Offline – This is a free program that comes, which helps you scan and try to remove malware on your PC.

3. Malicious Software Removal tool – The Malicious Software Removal tool is a built in utilitythat gets updates every second Tuesday of the month. It scans your PC based on definations it downloads once a month for malware.

4. Event Viewer – Windows Event Viewer comes with Windows. It shows a log of application and system messages, including errors, information messages, and warnings. It’s a useful tool for troubleshooting all kinds of different Windows problems.

5. Problem Step Recorder – This program comes with windows. It is a program that helps you troubleshoot a problem on your device by recording the exact steps you took when the problem occurred. You can then send this record to a support professional to help them diagnose the problem.

6. Windows System Image Program – Windows comes with a great piece of softwatre that allows you to create full image backup of your PC. This program allows you to get your PC backup and running to the point the last image backup was created.

7. Memory Diagnostic tool – Windows includes a Memory Diagnostic tool that restarts your computer (so nothing is loaded into memory) and tests your memory for defects—much like the popular MemTest86 application. If you want to check your computer’s memory for errors, you don’t need a third-party tool—just run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool by searching for it on your Start menu.

10. Disk cleanup – Disk cleanup is a great programthat helps you recover space by deleting files that you no longer need.

11. Windows Reset / Refresh – Windows 10 comes with an easy way to reinstall Windows on your Windows machine

12. Snipittool – This program allows you totake a snapshot to copy words or images from all or part of your PC screen. Use Snipping Tool to make changes or notes, then save, and share.

14. Robocopy – Robocopy is a very powerful copy utility that is very scriptable. The /? will give a complete list of arguments. This is very useful when used in a batch file. You can create a batch file and use it with the Task Scheduler.

15. Task Schedular – “The Task Scheduler enables you to automatically perform routine tasks on a chosen computer. Task Scheduler does this by monitoring whatever criteria you choose (referred to as triggers) and then executing the tasks when those criteria are met.”
